This topic describes how to restart an instance when instance connections reach the upper limit or your instances have performance issues.
Prerequisites
An ApsaraDB for MyBase instance that runs MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL is created. The instance is in the Running state. For more information, see the following topics:
Impacts
If you restart an instance, your services will be interrupted for about 30 seconds. Make sure that your application is configured to automatically reconnect to your instance. We recommend that you restart your instance during off-peak hours.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances, and click the database engine of the instance. On the page that appears, find the instance that you want to restart, and click Details in the Actions column. Use one of the following methods to restart the instance.
In the upper-right corner of the page that appears, click Restart Instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Service Availability. Move the pointer over the instance that you want to restart and click Restart.
NoteThis method is available only for ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL Master-replica Edition instances.
In the message that appears, click OK.
ImportantAfter you restart an instance, the instance state changes to Restarted. Your service may encounter transient connections. We recommend that you restart your instance during off-peak hours.
