Which users on the Alibaba Cloud international site (alibabacloud.com) need to complete account verification?
If you want to perform one or more of the following operations when you log on to the international site (alibabacloud.com), complete account verification based on your business requirements:
(1) Purchase specific cloud services deployed in regions in Mainland China (subject to the instructions on the product details page)
(2) Sign online contracts, apply for credit limits, and join Alibaba Cloud Partner Network (ACPN), etc.
(3) Update account information on your account
How do I complete account verification?
Method 1: Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console. In the upper-right corner of the page that appears, click your profile picture to go to the Account Center console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Account Verification.
Method 2: Go to the Account Verification page from the buy page of the Alibaba Cloud service that you want to purchase.
For example, if you select a region in the Chinese mainland when you purchase an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance, you are prompted to complete real-name registration when you click Next. In the message that appears, click Verification to go to the Account Verification page.
Method 3: Click the address provided in an internal message or email to go to the Account Verification page.
Alibaba Cloud may notify you by internal message or email of account verification that you must complete to push your business forward. To ensure business continuity, you must submit the required information and documents to the account verification center by using your Alibaba Cloud account within one business day after you receive the notification. You can follow the instructions in the internal message or email to obtain the information and documents. An Alibaba Cloud service agent verifies the information that you provided.
What information and documents are required to complete account verification?
It requires different information based on your account type and it will be shown on the Account Verification page based on your current account type:
If you have an individual account, you can perform individual verification or enterprise verification.
If you have an enterprise account, you can perform enterprise verification.
Enter all the relevant information, upload certificate images, and read and agree to the commitment on the Real-name Registration page. Then, click submit.
(1) If your account is an enterprise account, you must provide the following information:
Business Registration Certificate of your company
Company name on the certificate (If the company has multiple names in different languages, we recommend that you use the English name)
Business registration number on the certificate
Company address on the certificate
Additional Information: Please confirm whether you need to purchase cloud resources in the Chinese Mainland . If you need to purchase, your account verification information you submit will be reviewed in accordance with mainland China regulations.
(2) If your account is an individual account, you must provide the following information:
The type of your certificate, passports and driver's licenses are supported.
The number of your passport or driver's license.
Your first name and last name.
The front and back images of your passport or driver's license.
Additional Information: Please confirm whether you need to purchase cloud resources in the Chinese Mainland . If you need to purchase, your account verification information you submit will be reviewed in accordance with mainland China regulations.
After you submit the required information, you may view the following account verification status on the page:
Alibaba Cloud has received the materials that you provide and will complete the auditing within two business days.
Congratulations, you have passed the Account Verification of Alibaba Cloud.
Sorry, you have not passed the Account Verification of Alibaba Cloud.
If you have the plan to purchase cloud resources in the Chinese Mainland and choose the checkbox, your account verification information you submit will be reviewed in accordance with mainland China regulations and the review results will be presented separately, please pay attention to the review results of this part.
I am unable to complete account verification, but I want to support users in Mainland China. What do I do?
We recommend that you select the China (Hong Kong) region when you purchase Alibaba Cloud services.
If I "have no plans to purchase cloud servers in Mainland China" when submitting certification information, but later I do have plans to purchase cloud servers in Mainland China as my business develops, what should I do?
If you want to purchase and use Alibaba Cloud instances in a Chinese mainland region after you complete account verification, you must complete the verification. Procedure
(1) Go to the account verification result page.
(2) Read the terms and conditions and click Confirm.
(3) After confirming the submission of authorization, it will be reviewed in accordance with the PRC laws and regulations.
Why am I unable to pass account verification after I provide the information about my certificate?
You can go to the Account Verification page, view the cause of the failure, and then submit the required information as prompted.
The requirements for information about your enterprise certificate vary based on your country or region. To increase the success rate of each request for enterprise verification, we recommend that you submit a copy of your enterprise certificate based on the requirements and sample image on the Enterprise Verification page.
You can use only your passport or driver's license to complete real-name registration on the Alibaba Cloud international site (alibabacloud.com). If you are a Chinese citizen, you can use your passport information to complete real-name registration and upload a scan copy of your foreign visa page. If you are a Chinese citizen and have a Chinese ID card, we recommend that you register an account on the Alibaba Cloud China site (aliyun.com) to purchase Alibaba Cloud products and services.
