How to obtain a service identification number if I have not purchased an Alibaba Cloud server or I am using a non-Alibaba Cloud server?
You can obtain a service identification number only if you purchase a cloud service that meets the ICP filing requirements.
Filing without purchasing an Alibaba Cloud server: You need to first purchase a server or cloud service that meets the filing requirements, and you will receive the corresponding service identification number for free. For more information, see Purchase and prepare an instance.
Filing with a non-Alibaba Cloud server: If your domain is purchased from Alibaba Cloud but your server is purchased from another provider, you need to perform the filing with the corresponding server provider and consult them regarding the service identification number.
Why does it show that no filing IP addresses are eligible for this ECS instance?
Alibaba Cloud allows filing for subscription ECS instances that have public bandwidth in mainland China nodes. If your instance does not have a public IP, please purchase bandwidth first. For more information, see the Modify the maximum public bandwidth section of the Overview of instance configuration changes topic.
Can I reuse a service identification number?
No. Once a service identification number has been used and the filing process has been successfully completed, it cannot be reused for the filing of other domains.
Can the service identification number be deleted and reapplied for after the filing is canceled?
No. Once the filing is canceled, the service identification number cannot be recovered and cannot be deleted or reapplied for.
What should I do if the service identification numbers for my server have all been used up?
If all the service identification numbers associated with your server have been used, you will need to purchase a new server and apply for new service identification numbers on the new server.
Can a service identification number only be used for filing one website/app? Do I need to purchase again for subsequent filings?
Each service identification number can only be used for the filing of one domain. Once the filing is successfully completed, the number will be marked as "used." When purchasing cloud services that meet the ICP filing requirements, you will receive a certain number of free service identification numbers. If all these free numbers have been used up and the maximum allowed quantity limit for the cloud service has been reached, you will need to additionally purchase service identification numbers in order to continue with the domain filing process.
