ApsaraDB for Memcache supports the pay-as-you-go and subscription billing methods. You can select a billing method based on your business requirements. This topic describes how to purchase an ApsaraDB for Memcache instance.
Usage notes
You are charged for an instance immediately after it is purchased, regardless of whether the instance is used. Therefore, we recommend that you purchase an instance when you need to use it. This helps you avoid unnecessary costs.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraDB for Memcache console and click Create Instance in the upper-left corner.
By default, the Subscription tab appears. On this tab, set the required parameters, including Region, Primary Zone, Instance Type, Subscription Duration, Password, Instance Name, and Quantity.
NoteApsaraDB for Memcache allows intranet access only. We recommend that you select the same zone in the same region as your Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance. If you want to purchase a pay-as-you-go instance, click the Pay-As-You-Go tab. The parameter settings are similar to those for a subscription instance. We recommend that you set a password for an instance when you purchase the instance. If you do not set this parameter, you can also set a password after you purchase the instance.
After you set the parameters, click Buy Now. On the Confirm Order page that appears, confirm the order information and click Pay.
On the Purchase page that appears, select a payment method, and click Subscribe.
The system indicates a successful payment if the order is paid. Log on to the console 1 to 5 minutes later. You can find the purchased instance.
