You can perform canary releases based on custom request rules and quickly deploy and roll back versions.
Create an environment
In the ESA console, choose Websites, then click the target site in the Website column.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
Edit the Environment Name, Traffic Filter for This Environment, and Initial Position, then click OK.
NoteIf the environment is first in order, you can edit the version deployed in it.
You can modify traffic filters for all environments except the production environment.
Create a version
After enabling version management, Version 0 is created automatically.
You can clone an existing version to create a new, independent version. Changes made to the new version do not affect your current site traffic.
Versions cannot be created directly. You must clone them from an existing version. The cloned version number auto increments.
In the ESA console, navigate to Websites and click the target site in the Website column.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose , and then click OK.
Upgrade environment versions
After validating your configuration in the development and staging environments, you can upgrade the environment versions as needed.
In the ESA console, choose Websites, and then click the target site in the Website column.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
Click Promote, starting with the lowest-priority environment (development) and proceeding to the highest-priority environment (production).
