This topic describes the billable items and billing rules of Chat App Message Service.

Billable items

Billable items of WhatsApp messages

When you use Chat App Message Service to send WhatsApp messages, you are charged for billable items that are related to both WhatsApp and Chat App Message Service.

  • WhatsApp-related billable items: You are charged for conversations. For more information, see Conversation-Based Pricing.

  • Chat App Message Service-related billable items: You are charged for using the services that are provided by Chat App Message Service. The billing rules are the same as those of WhatsApp. Webhooks are used to collect statistics on messaging records. For more information, see Webhook parameters.

Billing rules

  • WhatsApp: For more information about WhatsApp billing, see Conversation-Based Pricing.

    Important

    Starting from June 1, 2023, you are charged by WhatsApp based on the number of conversations within a 24-hour period. The prices vary based on the conversation category. For more information about WhatsApp pricing updates, see Launch Timeline.

  • Chat App Message Service: USD 0.04 per conversation for all countries and regions. During the promotion period, you are charged USD 0.005 per conversation until May 30, 2025.

    Note

    Conversations are messages between you and your customers within a 24-hour period. Conversations are opened and charged when messages you send are delivered to customers.

  • Intelligent Chatbot: Intelligent Chatbot supports only the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are charged USD 0.0055 for each call.
