Pricing of Cloud Backup
The backup fee of Cloud Backup consists of the backup software usage fee, backup storage fee, and traffic fee. The traffic fee is incurred based on the outbound traffic over the Internet and the cross-region replication traffic of backup vaults.
You are charged for disaster recovery in Cloud Backup based on the usage of disaster recovery software and the cross-region replication traffic for disaster recovery. ECS charges you additional fees for other disaster recovery resources, including shadow ECS instances and their disks, snapshots at recovery points, and ECS instances that are created during disaster recovery drills and data recovery.
If a VM is migrated to the cloud, Cloud Backup charges you only for the usage of the migration software. You are not charged the preceding backup fees.

Backup storage fee
Backup storage fees are incurred based on the total amount of data stored in backup vaults and image vaults. Backup vaults of MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases are billed based on different billing methods. For more information, see the "Database backup fee" section of this page.

Database backup fee
Cloud Backup allows you to back up Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases that run on ECS instances or on-premises servers. You are not charged for software usage in Hybrid Backup Recovery (HBR). Only the backup vault that you use for backup data storage is billed. The total backup vault fee consists of the following two types of fees. The locally redundant storage (LRS) and zone-redundant storage (ZRS) methods are supported.
1. Backup vault rental fee. You are charged a fixed rental fee for each database backup vault. A backup vault can store the backup data of multiple databases that reside in the same region. Each database backup vault provides a free quota of 100 GB on the storage space.
2. Database backup storage fee. If the size of backup data stored in a backup vault exceeds 100 GB, you are charged for the storage of the excess data.

Fee for using backup and disaster recovery software
You are charged for software that is used to back up only the ECS files, file systems on on-premises servers, SAP HANA databases, and VMware VMs.
Meanwhile, if you use Malicious File Detection feature for ECS files, NAS, OSS, file systems on on-premise servers, Malicious File Detection fee will be charged on a per-file basis.
You are charged for software that is used for the disaster recovery of ECS instances.

Traffic fee
Cloud Backup charges you the following three types of traffic fees:
1. The traffic fee that is incurred when data is restored by using the Internet.
2. The cross-region replication traffic fee that is incurred when you replicate the backup data from a backup vault to an image vault that resides in another region.
3. The cross-region replication traffic fee that is incurred when you migrate an ECS instance across regions for disaster recovery.

Data archiving fee
You are charged the following five types of Cloud Backup fees based on the usage of archive vaults and the archive layer of backup vaults:
1. The archive vault rental fee. This fee is incurred only for data archiving. If data is transferred from the backup layer to the archive layer, you are not charged this fee.
2. The archived data storage fee.
3. The deletion fee for files that are stored for less than the specified number of days.
4. The data recovery fee.
5. The backup storage fee of index vaults.
