Alibaba Cloud Passes Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Assessment

23 February 2021: Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has demonstrated the company’s ability to meet the requirements which are established by Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
APRA is a reputable regulator of the financial services sector in Australia. It maintains strict prudential standards and guidelines for all outsourced activities and information securities that businesses must comply with. The review included an in-depth analysis in how Alibaba Cloud meeting the requirements of APRA Prudential Standard in the areas, such as CPS231 Outsourcing, CPS 232 Business Continuity Management, CPS 234 Information Security, and CPG 235 Managing Data Risk, and the areas covered in the Prudential Practice Guide in the Australian market.
