WAF Requires Domain Ownership Verification
May 30, 2023
Web Application Firewall
Changes:
To improve security, Web Application Firewall (WAF) will require a small subset of users to verify domain ownership starting May 30, 2023. When you add a domain name to WAF in CNAME record mode in the WAF console, you may be required to use the following methods to verify your ownership of the domain name:
1. Modify the TXT record for a subdomain.
2. Upload an HTML file to the root directory of your website.
After you prove ownership of the domain name, you can add the domain name to WAF.
