Others: ECS change notification on refund rules for subscription instances
Change time: August 30, 2021
Change description: Refund rules change for the subscription ECS instances to which a five-day money-back guarantee does not apply. The formula used to calculate the fees for consumed resources (Daily price × Usage duration × Discount for the usage duration) changes into the following ones. The daily price is equal to the monthly subscription price divided by 30.
Fees for consumed resources when the usage duration of a subscription instance is shorter than or equal to one month = (Daily price × 1.5) × Usage duration × Discount for the usage duration. The daily price multiplied by 1.5 is roughly equivalent to the daily price of a pay-as-you-go instance with the same configurations.
Fees for consumed resources when the usage duration of a subscription instance is longer than one month = Daily price × Usage duration × Discount for the usage duration.
Note: The usage duration is accurate to the day, with a minimum of one day. For each instance, the total amount of fees for consumed resources must not exceed the purchase price of the instance.
Each account is limited to a maximum monthly refund amount, which is calculated based on the following formula: Number of vCPUs × Number of refundable hours. The actual refund details displayed on the Unsubscribe page in the User Center prevail.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
