Features released: ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server 2012 and later versions support SSL connections. The Web, Enterprise, and Standard editions all support this feature. You can enable this feature to increase database security. After the SSL feature is enabled, you cannot disable it. You can enable this feature for only one network connection type: public network connections or internal network connections. For data security, we recommend that you do not connect your databases to the public network. Currently, you cannot enable this feature for read-only addresses of the 2017 Enterprise Cluster edition.
