Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC)Content
Product features and benefits: Key features and benefits of E-HPC: 1. Quick. E-HPC enables quick creation of computing clusters based on ECS, EGS, VPC, NAS and other Alibaba Cloud resources, while providing a quick way to customize runtime environments and a variety of supporting software stacks to users' preferences. 2. Elastic. E-HPC provides the ability to add, reduce, or release computing nodes, storage, and other resources as the computing load, time, and performance requirements change, which leads to significant savings in CAPEX costs, including but not limited to hardware system fees, permanent software license fees, construction, electricity, and maintenance costs for data centers, and O&M staff costs. The use of Alibaba Cloud elastic computing resources enables ready-to-use resources of any scale and auto scaling of nodes. 3. Safe. A PaaS platform built on Alibaba Cloud IaaS products, E-HPC incorporates a mix of security features available in Alibaba Cloud products. Examples include network security enabled by VPC, computing security by ECS, and highly available and reliable storage by NAS. 4. Interconnected. Built on Alibaba Cloud IaaS resources, E-HPC is fully connected with other cloud products. For example, it supports secure data communication over cloud disks, shared storage, and VPC networks. It also interconnects with other data analysis and visualization products to perform complicated numerical simulation and closed-loop data analysis. Target customers: 1. Education and scientific research organizations and public institutions that require large-scale computing capabilities; 2. Enterprises that require large-scale simulations in industrial R&D; 3. AI/machine learning enterprises; 4. Enterprises that engage in large-scale data analysis. Billing method: No fee is charged for the E-HPC product during the public beta period. Charges apply for the cloud products upon which an E-HPC cluster is built.
