As a subsidiary of ProTel Communications Ltd, Spotlightx is an experienced Hong Kong-based company running a B2C mobile app that allows businesses to provide high-quality online customer service to consumers. Spotlightx works with a range of companies including hotels, luxury brands, e-commerce portals, and other companies in travel, logistics, fashion, sportswear, healthcare, cosmetics, and skin care.
From their online platform, shoppers can interact with product specialists, stylists or customer service representatives for returned goods at the simple click of a button. This avoids dialing long-digit telephone numbers to traditional call centers and overseas calls.

Challenge
As a popular and growing online platform, Spotlightx were looking for a provider with strong local and international coverage to support their business’ application and enable future global growth. In addition, Spotlightx required local support - both technical and commercial - to ensure optimal use of their cloud infrastructure and a dedicated account team that they could talk to on a day-to-day basis.

They were subsequently able to setup their entire infrastructure in a single weekend. With Alibaba Cloud's comprehensive global coverage, Spotlightx now has immediate access to deploy their solutions from other data centers in important strategic regions.
Results
After deploying on Alibaba Cloud, Spotlightx has been extremely satisfied with the infrastructure provided by Alibaba Cloud to date. Besides the ease of setting up their system, overall system response time has improved significantly and impressed the Spotlightx team. They have since witnessed fast system performance, including customers’ mobile experience and agent’s login process. In the future, when more subscribers join the platform, Spotlightx intend to continue using monitoring services to monitor overall performance and ensure reliable operations. Architecture
Spotlightx’s architecture is powered by Alibaba Cloud Elastic Compute Service (ECS), and in the future, the company intends to explore other Alibaba Cloud offerings, including database redundancy, to optimize their online presence.
