About Kredivo
Kredivo is a leading digital credit platform in Indonesia that gives underbanked Indonesians access to instant credit financing for both online and offline purchases, as well as personal loans. Kredivo supports payment transactions for regional e-commerce players such as Tokopedia, Bukalapak, and Shopee.
Challenge
As a digital credit platform, the company needs to analyze massive volumes of data from various devices and applications, in order develop effective data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The large volume of data, compounded by fast-moving and computationally complex operations, cannot be processed by traditional, hierarchy-based data processing software.
Kredivo attempted to rectify the issue by deploying MongoDB Atlas on a cloud service provider for analyzing the massive volumes of data. However, due to the increasing data volume and frequency of reads and writes, data transfer charges between the Atlas node and other nodes increased significantly and, to some extent, was not predicable.
Why Alibaba Cloud
The team at Kredivo was searching for a solution provider with expertise in this area. They needed a provider that provides advisory service on the daily operation of MongoDB and offers cost optimization solutions.

Architecture
Krevido migrated from MongoDB Atlas and deployed Alibaba Cloud MongoDB. MongoDB replica set is composed of a group of MongoDB instances (processes), including one primary node and multiple secondary nodes. All the data on the MongoDB Driver (client) is written to the primary node, and the secondary node synchronizes the written data from the primary node to ensure that all the members in the replica set store the same datasets to achieve high availability of data.
The migration was completed within just a few days. As a result, it improves data accessibility, insights, and data compatibility without extra cost.
Looking Forward
Kredivo was only running backup on Alibaba Cloud. Upon the completion of this project, Kredivo became increasingly confident with Alibaba Cloud's capabilities in terms of both breadth of products and the level of technical expertise.
