About Chow Sang Sang
Chow Sang Sang Holdings International Ltd. (SEHK: 116, hereinafter referred to as Chow Sang Sang) is a jewelry retail brand with a history of nearly 90 years. Established in 1934 and listed in Hong Kong since 1973, Chow Sang Sang became the first Hong Kong jewelry company to be listed.
Chow Sang Sang's mission is to help families preserve the heritage of jewelry, and is continually taking steps in innovation and sustainability in their exploration of new opportunities for today's jewelry market. Their pursuit in providing diversified and high-quality jewelry products and services have made them one of China's leading jewelry retail groups.
Challenge
An ever-expanding business, Chow Sang Sang has over 10,000 employees and nearly one thousand stores in the Asia Pacific region. Therefore, a secure and reliable human resource management system is needed to support staff management operations, such as attendance records, salary, and welfare.
A suitable human resource management system needs to meet multiple stringent requirements. It should be well-designed to prevent intrusion and data leakage with strict security measures. In addition, it should be easy and cost-effective to maintain.

Architecture
To ensure a secure, stable, smooth digital experience, Chow Sang Sang adopts a combination of basic Alibaba Cloud products to store, process, and provide access to data. These products include Alibaba Cloud Kubernetes Container Service (ACK), Elastic Computing Service (ECS), PolarDB, Object Storage Service (OSS), ApsaraDB RDS, Log Service (SLS). In addition to these basic products, Chow Sang Sang also uses multiple security products such as, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Cloud Firewall, Bastionhost, and other products to safeguard and manage their security online.
Moreover, Chow Sang Sang uses Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) and Express Connect to build their internal network, which provides employees of different locations fast and secure access to the system. This internal network also reduces network delay and data packet loss, and improves office efficiency.
