Hiverlab hosted VR videos on ApsaraVideo VOD and used ApsaraVideo VOD APIs to upload and manage VR videos. It relied on Function Compute, a fully-managed and event-driven computing service, to run production applications with variable compute needs. This approach also helped minimize the burden of operation & maintenance (O&M), enabling Hiverlab’s teams to focus more on developing cutting-edge VR solutions and immersive technology applications.

Among the other Alibaba Cloud’s solutions and services, Hiverlab used Object Storage Service (OSS) to store and manage large amounts of VR videos securely while also managing to attain lower storage costs. For more general-purpose workloads and deployments, Hiverlab used Elastic Compute Service (ECS), which enabled it to achieve performance and scalability goals reliably at a faster rate.
