About Futureverse
Futureverse is a New Zealand-based AI and metaverse technology unicorn that combines web3 technology and AI-generated content to create the foundation for the open metaverse. The company empowers developers and users to create and interact with interoperable content, and aims to lead the AI gaming industry. Futureverse has developed AI-powered games in collaboration with FIFA and Muhammad Ali Enterprises. Futureverse has a dedicated Innovation department focusing on AI research in areas such as generative music, generative avatars and objects, NPC chat, text-to-voice, gaming reinforcement learning, and 3D animation.
Challenges
Futureverse is working on JEN-1, their text-to-music generator designed to improve upon issues found in other AI music generators. JEN-1provides higher fidelity audio and longer, more complex musical compositions. JEN-1 model has been evaluated by a panel of music industry A&Rs to assess its capabilities both computationally and through human assessments, and achieved a notably higher perceptual quality (85.7/100) compared to existing methods (83.8/100). The technology handles various music generation tasks with high fidelity, maintaining computational efficiency while also operating at a 48kHz stereo audio quality. Futureverse has published papers and released preliminary audio demos. They need robust and reliable AI training infrastructure for the foundation model training.
