DGW Group started its operation in Indonesia through its pioneering company: PT. Dharma Guna Wibawa was established in 2001 to answer various agricultural challenges. Challenge
DGW Group realizes digital transformation is one of the company's success factors in facing global challenges. A jump-start is required, particularly to modernize the data center. As a foundation of this initiative, DGW requires several solutions:
● DGW Group is looking to build a robust and scalable infrastructure to host its information system accessed by employees and achieve an enterprise-grade cybersecurity practice
● As an emerging enterprise, many IS/IT operational aspects need to be addressed, such as availability, reliability, and compliance.
● The need for a cost-effective solution that can be adopted gradually is urgently required. Moreover, DGW Group is looking for an IT budget allocation model from a CapEx expense to a predictable, pay-as-you-go model to make an ideal OpEx expense.
● DGW is also looking for a SaaS-based enterprise mail solution with integrated features (such as email management, online calendar, and contact management) to support day-to-day business operations. It should work seamlessly with existing office software applications to achieve better scalability and integration capability.

Alibaba Cloud also offers Alimail, an efficient and cost-effective email solution for enterprise users. Alimail provides smart and efficient email management services based on the same security architecture as Tmall and Alipay. DGW Group can achieve 100% email availability through Alimail, secured through various protection provided by Alimail.
Architecture
DGW Group is implementing multi-layer security using Alibaba Cloud products and services to secure their workload on the cloud. DGW group uses Alibaba Cloud security services in the network layer that enhances protection against DDoS attacks. DGW Group uses Alibaba Cloud to identify, scrub, and filter out malicious web traffic in the application layer. DGW Group uses Alibaba services in the host layer to protect against ransomware, various viruses, and web tampering. DGW Group also uses encrypted traffic between networks on Alibaba Cloud and its office network and network from the Internet to application/workload.
DGW Group utilizes Alibaba’s availability zones in the Jakarta region to achieve a reliable infrastructure. Critical data is replicated synchronously across multiple zones in the Jakarta region. Point-in-time backup is enabled periodically to secure data from unintended data loss.
