Witnessed by Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, UniKL and Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, exchanged a signed Letter of Intent (LoI), aiming to join forces to enhance academic and technological advancements, thereby facilitating the digital transformation in Malaysia.

This collaboration promises significant advantages for academics, particularly in enhancing the proficiency of UniKL’s educators and students with Alibaba Cloud’s technologies. The goal is to enable educators to understand and deliver the Alibaba Cloud courses, integrating them into their curriculum as teaching aids. By bringing educators closer to the cloud industry, this initiative will facilitate students in obtaining various certifications in Alibaba Cloud’s advanced technologies including cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI).

This partnership will not only benefit academics and students but also the wider public as it underscores the critical role of cloud computing in advancing towards Industry 4.0 (IR4.0) and highlights the collaborative efforts of both parties to create a sustainable pool of digital talents in Malaysia.
