To encourage developers to use AI and cloud computing as well as their innovation to tackle real world problems with weather forecast, Alibaba Cloud launched the Global AI Innovation Challenge - Intelligent Weather Forecast for Better Life, with developers from 2520 teams from 36 countries and regions participated. Among them are Salt Bae and Monsoon from Indonesia, who leveraged Alibaba Cloud technologies to build solutions regarding salt production and fishing. About Alibaba Cloud Global AI Innovation Challenge

The Global AI Innovation Challenge 2021 showcased various projects related to crop production predictions, global flight delay predictions, UAV-based wildfire detection and many more to highlight the value of AI-powered weather forecasting and green innovations.

The Global AI Innovation Challenge Series 2021 - Intelligent Weather Forecast for Better Life, as a part of Project AsiaForward, provided a platform that brought 2520 teams from 36 countries and regions together. Participants worked in tandem to develop innovative solutions enabled by Alibaba Cloud technologies, including cloud infrastructure, AI and machine learning, to analyze the interplay between meteorological changes and various aspects of life and, to improve human life.

The intent at Alibaba Cloud is to constantly connect technologies, intelligence, and developers worldwide to change the word for the better.
