Welcome to the December issue of Alibaba Cloud Academy's monthly post - helping you and your teams keep up with the latest news regarding Alibaba Cloud training courses and certifications.
This month, we're announcing a considerable change that we've been planning for quite some time. To better serve today’s cloud professionals with high-quality and relevant content, we are refreshing our certification offerings as we strive to provide more relevant, cutting-edge learning resources and certification services. During this time, some courses and certifications will be retired and replaced by new ones, while others will be retired for a period of time. The official announcement for this change can be found at Professional Certification Update.
The professional certification offerings have been refreshed to offer a more refined selection based on job roles and key skills. This change provides a deeper level of insight on what to expect from a certain job role, and the key skills that individuals in this role should be equipped with.
Over the next few months, the following certifications will be replaced:
● ACA Cloud Computing Associate will be replaced by Cloud Engineer (Associate) on December 31, 2024
● ACP Cloud Computing Professional will be replaced by Cloud Architect (Professional) on December 31, 2024
● ACE Cloud Computing Expert will be replaced by Solution Architect (Expert) on December 31, 2024
● ACA Systems Operator will be replaced by SysOps Administrator (Associate) in 2025
● ACA Cloud Security will be replaced by Cloud Security Engineer (Associate) in 2025
The following certifications will reach their End of Sales (EOS) on December 31, 2024, and End of Life (EOL) on March 31, 2025.
● ACP Cloud Security Professional
● ACP Container Service Professional
If you are a certification holder of any of the above certifications, and your certification is going to expire this year and you would like to maintain it in active status, be sure to retake the exam before it is retired (i.e. before its EOL). You won’t be able to recertify after the retirement dates because we will no longer offer these exams.
However, this does not mean that these exams will be gone forever - we're merely retiring them as we evaluate our offerings to bring you more relevant and cutting-edge content.
If you have purchased exam codes or classroom training for any of these certification and want to take the current exam or continue with the current content, please redeem the exam and classroom training services before EOL.
If you want to upgrade your codes to take the new exam or schedule classroom training for the new certification, contact Alibaba Cloud Academy at intl_training@list.alibaba-inc.com.
If you're a holder of any of the retiring certifications, your credential will continue to be valid for 2 years from the date you obtained it.
If your certification is going to expire or if you want to recertify for a retiring certification, make sure to re-take the exam before it retires. You won’t be able to recertify after the EOL dates because we will no longer offer these exams.
