Introduction:

The supply chain A&DI technology market spans capabilities that provide different types of analytics, focusing on predictive and prescriptive ones. Many of these offerings have been enhanced with AI and DSML capabilities to support supply chain decision making. These capabilities could either be part of a broader supply chain application/suite or a separate encompassing A&DI platform.

One overarching theme in the market for A&DI platforms is the convergence of capabilities, including ABI with DSML, and the incorporation of AI. The collision of these three worlds gives augmented consumers of analytics content greater agility and response while creating the opportunity to transform the data and analytics ecosystem. Supply chain organizations are also trying to speed up decision making by relying on more near-real-time connected data to achieve a higher level of use-case-specific decision support and automation-driven outcomes. This would enable the supply chain to react more quickly to disruptions, minimize risk and avoid losses.
